As an empowerment lecturer, conference host, and entrepreneur, Shay Avery serves as the Apostle for Sound the Trumpet Ministries with headquarters in Tupelo, MS. Apostle Shay is a 1993 graduate of Amory High School, and a 1995 graduate of Foster's Cosmetology and Barber Stylist School. Her professional education also includes a study in psychology as well as becoming a certified master life coach through Transformation Academy. With accomplishments in owning and operating Cuts & Curls Salon for 12 years and being a traveling make up artist for Color Me Beautiful for 3 years, Apostle Shay has encouraged many men and women to reach their full potential. Despite humble beginnings, she is the founder of the Queenin Brand, Queenin Queenin Boutique and Queenin Hair. Her annual Take Over Conference and Prophetically Speaking services have attracted people from all walks of life to include corporate business owners to those seeking guidance on where to start.  Her life long passion is to educate, empower, and encourage others regardless of their economic, social, or physical status.

Apostle Shay Avery values people and encourages others to develop healthy relationships.  She has been married to Pastor Neal Avery for 26 years and they have two children Drake & Carson. The Avery family has pastored for 17 years and has recently extended their footprint to Florida. Apostle Shay accepted her assignment as a preacher of the gospel on July 4, 2003. She preached the gospel for three years and then Live from The Upper Room Talk Show was birthed in 2006. Hundreds of souls came to Christ through the talk show. It became a church for so many wounded people. In 2007 Sound the Trumpet Ministries was founded and she was ordained the pastor of the ministry. In 2014 she was elevated to the Apostle of Sound the Trumpet Ministries. Apostle Shay Avery is a national influencer, intercessor, fashion stylist, mentor, motivational speaker, and spiritual counselor for many.
